Product description

A smoke alarm designed for timely warning of fire and smoke with autonomous power supply (battery life under normal conditions is more than 10 years). Meets all requirements of EN14604: 2005, increased requirements of German directives VdS3131 and VdS3515.

  • Compliance with all the requirements of EN14604: 2005, the increased requirements of the German directives VdS3131 and VdS3515, including:
    • 10 year operation with non-replaceable battery
    • higher resistance to aggressive environments during operation
    • higher resistance to electromagnetic radiation within the range 890-960 MHz
  • The difference in the sound indication of the master and slave alarms in the "Alarm" mode ("Test")
  • Possibility to choose one of 10 communication channels, for the possibility of several independent groups of connected signaling devices
  • Realisation of intelligent sensitivity calibration using built-in microcontroller
  • Minimum nuisance (false) alarms (including contamination of smoke chamber) with Long Term Drift feature (sensitivity compensation). This mechanism automatically adjusts the smoke alarm's sensitivity to factory level during operation
  • Sound indication of exceeding threshold compensation level (signal to cleaning the smoke chamber from dust)
  • Fluent sound intensification in Alarm and Test modes
  • Hush function – silencing the Alarm signal for 10 min. by pressing the Test button
  • Ideal circular diagram of smoke chamber (sensitivity does not depend on air stream direction)
  • An additional button on the back of the alarm for setting the communication channel

Topic 1. Components of fire protection systems

Section 10.4. Smoke alarms (ASD-5, ASD-10QR, remote control ASD-RRC).
In section 10.4 of informational materials "Components of fire protection systems" smoke alarms ASD-5 with replaceable batteries for 5 years of continuous operation are considered. Innovative design solutions used in this product are presented. Information is provided on the use of ASD-5 as a U-PROX SMOKE radio channel product from another U-Prox manufacturer. Radio channel smoke alarms ASD-10QR are also considered, which meet all the requirements of EN14604: 2005 and VdS3131 and VdS3515 directives. The ASD-RRC remote control for these alarms and utility model patents implemented in the ASD-10QR are presented.
